Shimano Tribal TX-5A Carp Rod
The latest version of the iconic TX-5 now with even better parameters and appearance than ever before! The TX-5A model is equipped with a blank using Nanosheet technology, which provides up to 35% more power, while reducing weight by about 15% compared to other carp rods. This was achieved through modern processes allowing for the use of less resin bonding carbon fibers, through their appropriately chosen weave. Additionally, the blank is subjected to a hardening process under Shimano HPC pressure, ensuring that all resin is evenly distributed between the fibers - ultimately affecting excellent performance and responsiveness of the blank. To further enhance the quality of the finish and the action of the blank, it is finished with a 3K matte and contains Biofibre for added strength. PacBay Minima guides used in this model not only complement the rod well but also help in damping the blank during casts due to their lightness. The well-known butt section from the previous model is now finished with a WinnGrip 3K polymer matte. This finish not only gives the rod a unique look but is also non-slip, which is appreciated during fish handling. The rod is available in as many as 8 different models, allowing effective fishing with any carp method - from setting up the kit by boat to casting at the furthest distances. A very interesting model that Shimano decided to release is a 10ft rod in the Intensity version! Despite the 3m length of this model, during tests, it was possible to regularly achieve about 200-yard distances with a 4-ounce weight!
